Sugar Aunt

Yesterday it was a year ago that I became the (sugar) aunt of this fantastic little man. This was my contribution to the party. I really wanted to give them something special.. But I doubted till the last minute if the portrait was good enough and if I would bring it. So glad I did. They were so happy with it. It was excactly how they see their little boy and called it the best present ever :)

Corner View: aninmals

One of the advatages of getting lost, like I did today, is that you discover new things. Among those things was an overloaded little messy secondhandshop. I found two books (1 euro :)) of 'Nijntje' (Miffy) of Dick Bruna, in very good condition. His drawings are so simple, yet so genius..

PS I hope my little nephew agrees.

4. I was named after my grandma. This weekend I found a photo of her made in the seventies. I was surprised about the resemblance. So I combed my hair a bit like hers and put on some old glasses from my other grandma. In april she will celebrate her birthday, I think this photo is gonna make a great gift.

Time Travel

The tv shot was made with help from photofunia.com , a lot of fun (via tiene) . I'm wearing a hat I refound during clearing out my closet, I inherited it from my grandma, who spend a lot of money on hats. The book (from around 1935) was a gift from Merel, and a beatiful addition to my collection. Is it realy 2010?
