How's your day?

Although I had some good weeks, I felt a bit disconnected to my heart (as in that place of hopes and dreams and inspiration) somehow. Today I feel reconnected and that feels very good. I wanted to share these pictures of my (18 year old) sisters room with you. She designed and decorated the whole place herself and I was just amazed with the result! Hope you'll enjoy it too..

Flower Power

I did a little photoshoot with my mom last saturday, I love how the photos turned out! Life has been challenging for her and it's great to see her reconnect to the hippie-ish girl she once was. So here is to Flower Power :)

P.S. About the Rocky Road: Melt the choclate of your taste with some cream, add cookcrumbs & marshmallows (or whatever you like: nuts, dried fruit etc.). Pour the mixture in the shape you like and let it cool in the fridge, very easy.. And yes it was very yummie and no one should not eat this too often :)

Through the Lens

I can't wait to develop the first film of my 'new' (well.. late eighties I guess) analogue SLR! I even dreamed about it. In my dream I exagerated the nostalgic part (which probably reveals how I feel about it :) ; the photos came out like the ones in my great-grandmothers time..

I printed a couple of my favorite portraits here & I am very happy with how they turned out! I'm going to give them a special place in my house.

Corner View: Saturday

When I first got my camera two years ago (canon 400 d)I read the whole manual and tried all kind of different options. I still use it every day and love love my camera, but I became quite lazy with the settings, I'm not the most technical person and it just looks to complicated sometimes. Last saturday I began rediscovering my camera..oh the possibilities!I love the monochrome, especially for portraits.

Sisters

They both follow their heart. One goes to America for half years again (man, I will miss her), the other one is planning to go to the conservatory. It so cool to see how they develop themselves.

A smiling little boy, with little to smile about. He lives in one room with his father, babybrother and heavily depressed mother. She had to leave her children behind in Afghanistan Today I finished 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' . A bridge between me and them.
