Room

Making room for new things, litteraly and mentally. It feels good, but also a bit funny. Letting go of stuff, but also of a few wrong concepts I had about myself and exchanging them for new, better, broader ones.

Self Portrait

We (participants of ´corner view´) were challenged to do a self-portrait this week, so this is me..trying to live lighter. Less clutter,  less projects and even less hair. Getting rid of half my clutter (in many ways) made me twice as happy. It´s an easy equation really..

Dear artist in me,

Also literally reconnecting, someone broke in to my house and took my laptop and Canon and lots and lots of work with it. Now I'm catching up, doing it all over again & hopefully better.

Leaf

The trees are dropping their leafs. I'm doing the same. Learning to 'let go'. Making room for new things to grow.

(autumn is also the time of...creating! more about that tomorrow)

In Hindsight..

..I've been running on reserves the passed months (due to bad news reports concerning people I care about) more than I realised. Doing the same things, but not with the same fire. To me that is the scariest thing, it's not having times where inspiration comes slow - I learned that to be part of the game, it's just a matter of trusting that it will return- but not noticing that the something put the fire down. Today the fire is back and my head is overflowing with ideas again. It feels good, really good.

Yesterday..

was a perfect day to get lost in the woods. Hi spring, I've missed you without realizing it.

I love doing my grocery shopping at my local market.

Saturday Sunset

I kind of rediscovered my SLR today. I came to find the amount of pics on my laptop so overwhelming (and throwing away things is nót a talent of mine) that I put it aside for a while. I don't want to get ahead of things but I think these have holiday season all over them, but that might have something to do with the fact that I have been listening to christmas radio all day. (Yes even an alternetive rock, singer-songwriter type of girl has her guilty pleasures ;)

Seven

Make a list of seven things (Inspired by Alice's 'think of seven impossible things before breakfast)you would love to do but somehow think it's impossible and than.. challenge them! That is my assignment for myself this week.

Yesterday

Sometimes my head feels a bit like a pressure cooker. Than I need to go to the park to let the pressure of. This cute acorn seems to have found his own way of letting the thoughts go freely :)

Page Two

I went on a walk this morning to find the right background for the print I'm making out of page two of my new sketchbook. I love any excuse for a walk, espacially since I refound these boots (stored in my brothers garage) which I bought seven years ago.
