Yesterday evening I was hanging out with C. @ my kitchen, @the art house cinema, @ a grand cafe & @ my couch reading/drawing. Those are definetely some of my favorites!

This weekend was very busy, but also very satisfying. It was all about quality time, about family, about friends, about being connected.

On a Date with my new Hometown

We've known each other for three months now and I like what I see, but I must also admit I've been flirting with my ex a bit. Nothing serious, cause I know my future lies in the new one. And I like the new one way better. But ist still a stranger you know? So today we spend some quality time together. I discovered a bit of all it's pretty features and I believe it won't take long before it will open more of it's beautiful doors for me. Yes, we get along better and better my hometown and me.

If Lucy (from 'Into the Wardrobe', C.S. Lewis) would have gone into my wardrobe she probably would never have found the land that was behind it; I just have to many clothes and am not able to throw anything away! I love hats, boleros, dresses, skirts, scarfs...etc.

Although I really like clothes, I think comfort is just as important. I only wear high heels on special occasions and once I'm dressed I rarely check a mirror again.

Typewriter Love

It was love at first sight when I saw this at http://www.funkystuffdesign.nl/.

It came in yesterday, bringing back memories. I rembered how I spend hours behind the thing as a child writing stories and my own magazine (real adults as my subscribers :) ).

I'm so excited about all the creative possibilities! I immidiately started trying out diffrent kinds of papers and ended up sitting on my sofa with a typewriter in stead of with my laptop (Not that I will get rid of the last one, though :)).

Looking for protection

I took this shot yesterday morning, It was very cold and the swans were to busy looking for protection against the cold to be bothered by me. I love the shape of the swan (if you look through your eyelashes you can see it even better)

New York, New York

Exactly one year ago I was in NYC. We spend hours in the Modern Museum of Art. At closing time they had to kick us almost violently out of the museum. Man I wish I could travel through time. Fortunately I still have this collage I made from the pieces I liked most! (click to see bigger)

On hold

It just keeps snowing. I love it when nature takes over a bit and everything is put on hold. I'm staying in today!

In a couple of hours we are going to bring my sister to the airport. Madison is just too far away. Normally we see each other once or twice a week and I will miss her like crazy.
