Through the Lens

I can't wait to develop the first film of my 'new' (well.. late eighties I guess) analogue SLR! I even dreamed about it. In my dream I exagerated the nostalgic part (which probably reveals how I feel about it :) ; the photos came out like the ones in my great-grandmothers time..

I printed a couple of my favorite portraits here & I am very happy with how they turned out! I'm going to give them a special place in my house.

Thank you Ian for this great excuse to go through my old (from the glue-days:) vacation albums, I realized I hardly ever do this. I really miss my old analogue canon SLR (which was stolen unfortunately :( ), when I see them. I enjoy my digital SLR every day but it is just not the same is it?

Monday Morning

It's probably the best smell in the world.

(1. morning light2. super simple homemade bread: dry yeast,water, sea salt, carn sugar, flower.)

Somehow my body has adopted a very strange sleeping rythm the last couple of weeks. I try to go to sleep, go in a half-sleep for about an hour, wake up for a couple of hours and then finally fall asleep in the morning. Any tips?

1. Monday I picked up this book about self-sufficient living at the library. Most suggestions are undoable for me, but hey a girl can dream right?(Wouldn't that be great to be independent, at least for a part?!) I think I'll just start with the diy goat cheese..

Today

Balancing out after a busy weekend. It's good to be home again. Had an interesting conversation last weekend about thinking about the future. Do you think about the future a lot? Do you like making detailed future plans or do you like to take life as it comes? Which of both ways do you think will most likely get you in the right place?
