Confession: I am still in my pyjamas (lunch time here)...but that doesn't mean I have been lazy this morning. I started painting at 9.30 this morning, which is rather early for a saturdaymorning if you ask me :) I try to do a semi-realistic painting once in a while to practice my drawing/painting skills.
Whether I like (not haha) the result is not the most important thing, it's more an excercise for my brain muscles. The famous psychologists Ericson said you need round about 10.000 hours of practising for your brain to master something. Well I wouldn't start counting if I were you, but I think the fact that there is scientific reason to believe that 'practice makes perfect' is an encouraging thought. So keep practising whatever it is you like and, most importantly, have fun with it!
LOVE!!! Love the progression!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI could not agree more!!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI can really see how my photography has evolved over the past year because I did practice everyday.
I love to see the different steps of your works and the result is great!
Ahum een beetje geduld is blijkbaar toch wel nodig...heerlijk in het echie en heerlijk op de plaat...Goed doan!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGoed progression ! Thanks anna ! ;-)))))
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm total agreement. Especially when it comes to practicing in PJs:)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice painting, can't believe you've made it in just one morning.
An idea is a point of departure and no more. As soon as you elaborate it, it becomes transformed by thought.

Keep going! life is art, art is life!
What an inspiring post, really!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's definitely true what you said about practising. Even the things I consider myself being good at turn a little better if I've had the time to repeat them over and over again.
When it comes to drawing and painting, I'd say your 10.000 hours are done! ;)
10.000 hours?!?!? that is the reason for a lot... ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijdereni love the pictures from the beginning till the end of your drawing.
No matter how many hours...the most important thing is to enjoy all those hours.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenEnjoyed reading your comments!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like this idea. I will stay in my pajamas for 10,000 hours until I am the master! Did I get this right?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI see a waterfall and rocks...and I think it is beautiful!
